Nicole Barich

Nicole is a devoted outpatient physiotherapist with a passion for treating a wide variety of conditions, from acute injuries or post-surgical rehabilitation, to addressing long-standing pain, mobility and strength concerns. She is an avid manual therapist, but uses a multi-modal treatment approach which will always differ and be patient-specific depending on your goals, symptoms, and presentation. In addition to hands-on joint mobilizations and soft tissue release techniques, she often incorporates complementary modalities into treatments when indicated - such as athletic taping, laser, ultrasound, or needling techniques. She enjoys teaching clients how to help achieve and maintain their goals, through individualized exercises with focuses on maximizing mobility, activation of key muscle groups, and re-training movement patterns to help promote pain-free function and decrease future injury.

Background

Nicole grew up in Bright’s Grove, Ontario, participating in various sports and activities including tennis and competitive dance. She was drawn to the field of healthcare through a love for working with and getting to help people of all ages, and was inspired to pursue a career in Physiotherapy while volunteering in clinics during her undergraduate studies in the Rehabilitation Sciences.

Education

Nicole earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from Western University in 2016, after graduating with distinction from Western with a Bachelor of Health sciences, Honors Specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2014. During the Physical Therapy program, she pursued electives including Sports Injuries Management and Paediatrics, and completed additional training in advanced Manual Therapy and Soft Tissue Release techniques. Since being in outpatient practice she has completed further training including courses in Mulligan Mobilization Techniques, Acupuncture, and Dry Needling

Personal Life

Outside the clinic, she maintains a passion for well-rounded, healthy living, continuing to enjoy activities such as tennis, golf and yoga. She loves getting to help her clients move and feel their best so they can participate in the activities most meaningful to them.
